Happy Homemaker Monday – Week 10 – 2011

From: Diary of a Stay at Home Mom

The weather in my neck of the woods: 50s and cloudy. It’s suppose to rain sometime today but I haven’t seen any yet.

Things that make me happy: The birds singing outside this morning

Book I’m reading: I Corinthians

Energy Zappers by Blakeney and Henley

I’m trying to decide what to read next just for fun.

What’s on my TV today: Fox News for a few minutes at a time to keep up with what’s happening in Japan.

On the menu for dinner: Homemade chicken tenders, corn on the cob, and multi-grain rice with spinach, tomatoes and onions

On my To Do List: Homeschool

Seasonal Clothes Sorting

Laundry

Straightening the Medicine Cabinet

New Recipe I tried or want to try soon: Recipes for Light Chocolate Truffles and Easy Tortellini Soup from my Healthy Cooking Magazine

In the craft basket: Working on a cross stitch Noah’s Ark Picture

Looking forward to this week: A peaceful week with a slightly more organized house at the end of the week.

Tips and Tricks: Can’t think of one.

My favorite blog post this week: In 22 Years… at Hospitality Lane

Blog Hopping (a new discovered blog you would like to share with the readers): Diary of a Stay at Home Mom

Okay this is not a newly discovered blog, and a lot of you (especially those who found my blog through Happy Homemaker Monday) already know about this one, but as one of my inspirations for starting my own blog I thought this one deserved to be mentioned on my first Homemaker Monday.

No words needed (favorite photo or picture, yours or others you want to share):

One of our kittens curled up in my blanket

Lesson learned the past few days: To be grateful for what you do have. Others have things worse than me no matter how bad my day seems, and there is something to be thankful for every day.

On my mind: Planning for my kids’ birthdays, one next week, one two weeks later.

Trying to figure out which household project to start first now that the weather is warming up.

Wondering when my husband’s uncle will have a chance to till our garden spot.

Devotionals, Scripture Reading, Key Verses: Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. Psalm 119:11
